Commission for Race Equality

The Commission for Race Equality was established in 2017 with an Interim Commission that was comprised of the Manifesto for Race Equality Steering group.

In autumn 2017 nominations were sought for permanent Commissioners, 12 were selected by an independent panel.

Commissioners carry out their role on a voluntary basis and work with groups and communities to ensure their contribution is informed by grass roots and lived experience.

The menu on Commission for Race Equality page provides links further information about the history of the Commission, and its remit.
